You have to know the Italian names of typical restaurants to catch your target restaurant more easily. For example, a pizza place is called pizzeria. Also there are trattorie andosterie. Italian restaurants are usually, if not always, home-run. This means that it's like the movies when the chef is the owner of the restaurants in Rome and his daughter is the accountant! This gives a very genuine touch to them, especially to know that the ingredients are also of their own production.
