A Dying Beauty in the Heart of Italy

Ever heard of "The Dying City"? It is a tiny village that sits upon a hill of turf. It is called Civita di Bagnoregio, it is part of Bagnoregio near Viterbo. Civita is linked to Bagnoregio through a small bridge. Since the hill that hosts it is gradually eroding, only a few families still live there, this is the reason why it is called "Il Paese che Muore".
If you are in Italy, and wish to visit a place unique in all the world, get on the A1 motorway, get the Orvieto exit and follow the directions for Bagnoregio. You will find yourself back in the Medieval times!
